I have no water!

Just moved to a new city and into an apartment on Saturday. Today, I realized that I do not have a water source to wash my car. I'm not a big fan or high pressure car wash wands. Plus a lot of them frown on hand washing in the bays. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to connect a hose inside the apartment. Checked at my work and I'd have to run over 100 feet of hose to reach outside.

I know some of you have to have run into this situation before. Where can I get some H2O?
Just had an idea. Perhaps I can buy a bunch of bottled water. I seem to remember someone on here doing that...

There is a good thread on here somewhere about a procedure to wash a car with a few gallons of distilled water from the grocery store and turtle wax waterless wash. I did it a couple of times and it worked really well. I'll see if I can find the thread.

I have a similar issue. I fill a bucket with soapy water and wash the car. I fill the same bucket with clean water and rinse. Chamois dry. Our cars are so small that it takes very little time, 5-7 minutes. I do the same thing with the wheels and tires, 3-5 minutes wash and rinse. Windows, 3-5 minutes.

There is an active thread on here right now all about waterless car washing.....

Not my cup of tea, but others swear by it. Might be a good option for you to try.

You can get an adator to fit a garden hose to the kitchen sink, if that helps...
But the best solution might be a friend of the opposite sex with an accessible faucet. Make like Huck Finn whitewashing a fence and see if you get help, etc.
Or a friend willing to swap beer for water. The problem is, it would be embarassing to have to ask as often as most forum members seem to wash their cars.

Just use Optimum No rince
Get a 2 gallon pump sprayer and mix 1 oz in 2 gallons
you can wash 3-6 cars with the 2 gallons

Just spray it on, wipe and dry

I use it to wash my car in the garage and virtually no liquid on the floor

Use good quality microfiber cloths

Use either distilled water(Perfectlap's excellent thread) or a spray on car wash as discussed in the other current thread on car washing. If waterless is good enough for our local PCA Concours chair then it's good enough for me.

Here what I use: All you need is a faucet, a 5 gallon bucket and a wash chamois with a heavy supply of nice microfibers. I don't even use my hose and its 3 feet from where I wash the car. This stuff is great.
