The logical choice.
Better the devil you know, and all that.
You have history with your Boxster, 30,000 miles to go before you get to where that S is now, and most of all, no uncertainties about how the car was or wasn't maintained/driven.
Now get out and burn some fuel, already!

Good choice.

Lower miles and known problems win every time.

I picked up a beautiful lapis/tan 03S late last January for $11k. IMSB and all new suspension work done. 102k miles on the clock.

I have every intention of keeping the car but got a great offer for it when the weather turned warm. Sold it for $14.5K in early June. On to the next one!

To Boxster Steve,
Jinx is out of the country traveling. So I am taking her assistant out to dinner along some back country twisties ( Pa Route 286 for those who might know the area)in the base. Still cold out but no snow and salt mostly gone, and the assistant can help me watch for potholes, and speeding tri-axle coal trucks.

So that it is known she said yes to dinner tonight if she could drive home. Yes it is nice to have cash for a special dinner. Ya for no car payments. And a Boxster. Life is good.

Bill

P.S. Thanks again for all the opinions. Like I said yesterday they really helped.
Also called our broker. Asked her to get me a quote on some Apple stock.

be careful with the potholes, it is my first winter/spring in western PA, I am surprised how bad they get. I am now seeing a lot of PENDOT people filling them, which is a good thing, but there is more potholes than people atm, be safe.

I just brought my Porsche out of winter storage yesterday. Same thing every year, about 1/2 through winter I want to trade it for something else. The first drive changes my mind but that only lasts 'til June and I am right back to wanting to trade it again.
