I'm tempted to buy one of these and either try to fix, or if all else fails part it out so I can take one apart.
I parted out a 1992 Mercedes 500SL a couple years ago and made 8k net. I've never done a boxster though. I'm not sure how much you can get parting out. It's a great way to get to know how everything fits together though. What do you think?

1984 Camero Roadster (No, please, no)
My opinion, the early 1980s were not good years for American cars. Luckily most examples have long since been crushed and turned into Honda Civics and Toyota Corollas. Here is one that manged to survive as a shinning example of 1980s USA automotive prowess:

Is this the most un-Boxster Roadster possible?
For what it is, it actually looks very well done. ...for what it is.

Strange
That is the oddest steering wheel I have seen. One of my good friends had one of these, he got it when he was 16 in high school....to say it is in terrible condition now is an understatement

Yes, it looks like the designers did their best to avoid curves:
I expect that the driver's did best to avoid curves as well.

That is if you can't obtain a '79 Z28 a la Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Been looking for an awesome spot to play all my old Def Leppard tapes. This just might be the ticket since I pulled all the Realistic head units from my other cars - LOL.
Great find and yes, well done for what it is/was.
