I think it wouldn't look bad if you pulled some of that crap off and out normal wheels on it.

Clearly a lot of work went into getting it where it is. Makes me kinda sad.

My guess is the paint is barely dry. In 2 yrs, there will be grand canyon style cracks where he slathered on heaps of bondo to attach the fender flares.
I hope he has the time & emotional strength to get thru the sale.

Short of the NOS crap and all the other stuff, this type of "mod" was fairly popular in the 80's and it is quite possible it was done "right". Having said that, the rest of the thing is just a real shame. I don't have the emotional strength to go on...

Just curious. Without all that crap stuck on it, would it be a valuable car? I dont have a clue.

As a stock 911 Cabrio I bet it would have been worth 2 - 3 times more than it's current state.
On a side note.... I could use the LS and nitrous bottle for another project I am working on. (72 split bumper Camaro)

First production 911 cabriolets were built in 1982 and sold as 1983 models. Hopefully this conversion at least started out as a Targa model and/or has some more reinforcements so it has some structural integrity with that LS in there!

Hard to imagine somebody paying anything close to that asking price.

I wasn't suggesting anyone would. And it's probably a nightmare to keep running. But it is pretty interesting.

I wonder how many minutes that 901 will last behind the torque of a V8
