I don't know enough yet to help diagnose your problem beyond what the others have said, but I do happen to have a wrecked 2001 2.7 5-speed that I will be removing the engine from on Sunday/Monday.
If it turns out to be something that you want used parts for, I'm only 1 hour Southeast of Tulsa and would rather make you a deal than store them.
