Window won't go down when opening door

Hi all, my boxster has all of a sudden decided not to lower the drivers side window when opening/closing the door. The manual switch in the cab for the window works the window and the hood auto lowers the window. So looks like the door handle switch is the problem. Does anyone know how to remove the door card trim to get access to the door handle switch?

Im guessing the micro switch for that is probably inside the door panel. Pretty good demo on this in Wayne's book and a couple videos on YouTube. A search for the location of the micro switch is probably a good bet as well.

I used the instructions in the link below to show me how to remove the interior door panel.

Until you can get it repaired try the comfort function window thing. When you put the key in the door lock, hold the key in the door in the unlock position for a second or two. As long as you hold it the windows will go down as long as you hold the key in the unlock position. Just do the opposite when locking the car and it will roll the windows up.
