New Boxster Owner

Hello everyone. Just wanted to say hello on here. I have recently purchased a 2000 boxster s. So far I am absolutely loving it. I have already started making it into my dream car. I have fitted the Porsche Cup intake and had a Custom Eurosport exhaust fitted. I am just about to start on the interior with some Alcantara then a respray to Carrara White.

One question though, I have bought a dashboard on ebay as this one has a glovebox. Does anyone know if the dash board will fit in the boot?

Thanks for reading and hello again!

Welcome.

Very unlikely it would fit in the trunk. You can barely fit a golf bag without woods in there and a dash would be lengthier. It will have to stick out the back.

Thanks for your replies. It didnt fit in the boot, it barely fit in the car! Luckily it didnt rain otherwise I would have got very wet. I have ordered some Alcantara samples today to help get the best colour match. I will start stripping the dash off today. Will look trick when finished :-D

What is this? I did a quick search but didn't seem to find any details. Sounds interesting.

Sorry I will try and answer those questions
1) The dash is from a 2003 facelift 986
2) the induction kit is called a EuroCup GT intake not porsche cup sorry. it is available from here Porsche Boxster Performance 986 K&N Filter & Engine Induction | Air Ducts UK

I got the one with the K&N Filter

Congratulations.

I'm looking forward to seeing your alcantara results. Getting rid of the carpeting on the doors has been something I've been wanting to do from day one. I also want to get rid of the carpeting in the foot wells and replace with the dark grey twill (anything but black which is pain to keep clean) like on the older 911's.
Home carpeting in sports cars has never looked right to me...
