either it's the micro switch or there is too much slack in the window regulator cable. The difference is if the window regulator motor tries to drop the window and maybe it moves slightly but not enough to clear the top or if there is no command for the window to drop at all. You can also tell if this is your problem by pushing up and down on the window after you open the door. If it moves a lot, say an inch up and down, then the regulator cable slack is likely your problem.
