If you remove the plastic over the battery, there's the AC connections as well, located to the left of the battery. Take a screwdriver or something similar, and press down on one of the connection holes (only for a part of a second). If it's preassure in the system, it's not a leak. There might be a broken AC compressor tho, if it's pressure in the system that is.

Do not ever do this. The Schrader valves can easily be damaged and would then vent off all of the system gas, plus there can still be some pressure in the system even when it is low on gas, but too low to trigger the low pressure sensor in the system and allow it to turn on.

If you don't know what you are doing, or have the correct equipment to service the AC system in these cars, take it to someone that does.....

Did you check the fuses?

If the AC is blowing hot air, sometimes it's the fuses.
