Please forgive the filthiness of the car in the after photo, but...
***See 2 posts down for photos, thanks KRAM36!***
I love it!
I'll paint the turn signal shrouds next month when I have them open to install Fred's projectors.

I think it has something to do with iOS because they looked fine on my iPhone in the original post.
Nice work Craig! I'm glad to see that some are making use of this
I still have not finished my first set

Haha! It took longer than I expected, so it was "winking" for a few days while it had one amber and one clear until I had time to do the other one.
What paint would you suggest for the turn signal shroud? I have some Rustoleum "OEM black" plastic paint that worked very well for the front grills, but I can't find a pic of a true clear lens' shroud to see if matte black is correct, and also a little concerned about heat/durability under the lens. TIA

OEM is actually a chocolate brown color, but I think black looks best. I use Rustoleum high heat black (matte or flat finish, can be found in automotive section under engine enamel OR the paint section under "grill/barbecue paint").

As much as I dislike the amber lamps, I've seen cars with the triangles and side marker lamps converted to clear, and the remaining amber turn signal doesn't look half bad by itself. Depends somewhat if you want a stock Porsche look or a bit custom. I may do it this year. Thoughts on this easy fix???

Personally, do what I did. You can find new stock clear made by Bosch for around $650 or so, and then sell your Amber lights, assuming they are in excellent condition for about half that. By doing that, you have new with a reasonable cost. There is always someone looking for the original ambers. I bought some new ones and then put in Fred's HID's and could not be happier. It really updates the look of the car.

Partial de-amber
Well here,s mine with the triangles / side markers stopped to clear. I reckon it's an improvement and the original lights are in A1 condition.
Wouldd like to get projectors eventually....

YAY...another seal grey, looks fantastic.
I'll keep mine like that, too...that last bit of amber color matches the seal Grey perfectly.

That's what I'm talking about . I think it looks really good. If we didn't know better, I'd think that it's stock OEM Boxster. I'm gonna do it!
However, for those brave enough, partlcalwave's mod is the best. Congrats on a fine idea and method.

Corner triangles
Are all of the available triangles such a dark gray tint? Why? Aren't OEM triangles clear?

DID IT! It does look good this way and the cost is reasonable. Just the actual signal lamp with an amber lens looks like it should have been done that way back in 2001.
Unfortunately, I can't drive the car for a while as I've just gotten my shoulder replaced (unless I leave it in first gear....LOL). Maybe next month.

I'm with Pedro
Pedro, are you and I the only people who like the amber? I think it is just fine on arctic silver because it accents and accentuates all the compound curves in the front of the car.
