To those who don't (or too rarely) publish their car's pics

No need to be shy about it or fear social media, thinking you are a retard doing it or whatever other reason you think its a waste of time doing so. Posting pics of your own car might not be that of a use or valuable to yourself but some others (like myself) loves to see and be inspired by some other's cars. YOUR car

Colors, mods, stickers, wheel color, background / scenery set-up, whatever other silly things, doesn't matter. Someone somewhere will always like to see your car.

Besides... is there anything more boring than a static thread with no pics.

TAKE AND POST PICS. Go crazy (please)

I feel a little strange taking pics of my car but must confess I have taken more pics of this car than any car previously. However I have regrets that I have not taken more pics of previous cars but they would be Brownie pics from the 1960's and on. Not digital.

Here is a pic of my black box....

I have a handful of pictures that were taken by the PO for the ad when I bought it, but otherwise I haven't taken any pictures like that. I have tons of pictures of parts, mods, repair work, etc. Mostly not for pride but so I remember how things go back together or to make DIY's for others.

I don't post any pictures on social media, nor do I really bring it up to friends in conversation. If people have seen me driving it they know I own it, otherwise they probably don't. It just feels arrogant to me to say "look what I bought". Now, pictures of things I have made, I will post those. There is pride to be had in the "look what I built with my own two hands" photos.

I worked my butt off for a year and saved to buy myself a car.

35 years old and this is the first nice car I've ever owned. Paid $10,000 cash on the spot.
Can I not take pride in that?

Below is a picture of my DD that I've driven for almost a decade (1998 Dodge Neon). She's not much to look at, but I love her, too.

I worked very hard for the things that I own and I own everything that I have. No payments, no loans and I am very proud of that. I will continue to take tons of pictures and post tons of pictures

Sure, you can be proud of it and take/post as many pictures as you like. I'm not saying others should do as I do, I just feel awkward doing it. You do make a good point about working hard for it. Someone saw my car and said "you're so lucky to have a car like that." I said "it's not luck, it's hard work."

+1

Not just the car, but the mods, too

I DIY everything and have put more hours than I can count into making my 986 unique...proud of that, too.

I actually started this thread because someone said that they only had 1 picture, but can't remember who.

Haha! My brother did an accidental wheelie on it the other day...crazy torque!

The officer across the way only works a couple days per week, so the patrol unit is almost always there and yes, great security as just the sight of it is an excellent deterrent!

I concur even though I'm one of the guilty ones. I like seeing them all from plain like mine to the drop dead gorgeous like yours, Dangers, and Perfectlaps.
