The only way to realistically pickup a hardtop is with the car itself. Google '986 Spinlocks' to find them along with install instructions, it is very straightforward, about $100 for the spinlocks and two bolts.

I would however high recommend bringing a set of allen wrenches with you to adjust the top. Especially if you are traveling any significant distance to pick it up.
