south east earth quake
4.1 ... first earthquake ive ever felt. Journalist on the news are having a HAYDAY. Anyone else feel it?

to be honest most people didnt feel it haha... the news is losing their crap though. Between the snow and this, the local news has become quite a source of entertainment.

I think we all know that the earthquake was GM lot full of Corvettes being sucked into the earth again. 
A 4.1 to us Californians is just a typical bean burrito stomach rumble. Par for the course.

In SoCal we had 10 small earthquakes in the last 5 hours!. Its gotta be >5.0 to get any attention at all.

My 1st earthquakes were in 1967 when I moved to Alaska 3 years after THE BIG 1. Little tiny tremblers often, I was in 1st grade & loved them all.

What year was that, the last one i remember being reported despite me sleeping through was in 2002 or maybe 3.... few people know that South Carolina is fairly active (for the east coast) with Charleston more due for a 8.0 or greater than Cali. I once read a report that as for quakes in the upstate, that they were very rare before lake hart-well was formed and have became fairly common since then.

I've been living in nor cal all my life, more specifically San Francisco area. Earthquakes are so common here, we have a better chance seeing that than rain.

No, it was way before that, like right after I graduated from college, so must have been early 1980's. I never knew a time when Lake Hartwell wasn't there, but that is quite interesting. I think Charleston, SC is particularly bad because the soil will "fluidize" in a big quake.
