I read somewhere that after most shows Jeremy Clarkson invites the entire studio audience to accompany him to a local pub where he buys.

That's a rip off of a UK episode, and Clarkson and Hammond, described the 986 they had as a great car at it's current price. Don't think May still has his Boxster.

Never watched the US version, never intend to. I love the UK version, but I view it as entertainment, aka, comedy, rather than a real car show.

Fired up the DVR and have watched some of the more recent episodes from the Brits, they've become lame too. Looks as if they've gone well past the peak stage, all 3 characters have gotten old and predictable.
