Oil Analysis

Woo Hoo! Just got my oil analysis from Blackstone Labs. Here is the summary:

"BRUCE: We really like the looks of this Boxster at 70,000 miles. Wear metals are so low that we wouldn't

have believed this oil had 5,000 miles on it had you not told us. Most of the wear metals are lower than

universal averages and those show typical wear levels for this type of engine after about 3,700 miles on the

oil. Granted, chrome is 1 ppm higher than average, but 1 ppm overall still isn't bad. The viscosity was a tad

thin for 5W/40, more in the 10W/30 range, but that's not a problem. No fuel or coolant was found. Great

report here. Keep up the good work."

Very happy with the results! Every thing was spot on what the averages should be. It gives me a little peace of mind but I still plan to do the IMS at some point. No to go wash and polish her and then go for a spirited drive
