It hasn't I actually forgot to mention it.

It is neither. SSP has their own patented edition. Ever heard of SKF?

They have used SKF bearing-technology into their own IMS bearing product. Reinforced all over. Supposed to be better than LN Engeneerings IMS bearing by miles.

SSP do all of their own rebuilds* and create reinforced products. Look at the engine for the 996 in my pics. It will be rebuit with all stronger material to avoid oval cylinders.

*Knut Grave, main mechanic at SSP, has rebuilt almost 100 Boxster engines and have seen his fair share of broken IMS. I imagine he has had that in mind when creating his on bearing product.
