What length of recording time does it have? Sounds like it would be good not only when you were driving, but also for those parking lot bumps when you were out of the car.

It all depends on the size of the micro SD card you insert. In any case, it'll record forever as it just overwrites the old file and since the Boxster's cigarette socket always has power even after key removal, therefore it'll continue to record while you are away, but just be careful with the car battery level.
