My Boxster came equipped with the LNE spin-on oil filter adapter. After dealing with cartridge filters in the past, I can say that the spin on filter arrangement is much easier to deal with. One also has a choice of using three filters that are readily available.

Does it provide better oil flow? Hell if I know............
