Speaker upgrade

Hi, can anyone recommend a place to get the speakers upgraded in my car? I want to keep the original head unit but the sound is just total crap at the moment. I live in Westport CT.....

Any suggestion would be a help.

Thanks.

There are seveal speaker threads on the forum. Its fairly easy to do as a DIY project:

I just changed out my dash and door speakers. I got mid-grade speakers- 60-70 bucks a pair, but they don't sound much better than stock. And some report rotted out speakers, especially in the dash, but mine were fine. And swapping the dash out is not a simple remove and replace. Do a search and it will show you how to cut out the cone and use the existing speaker frame to mount the new speaker. Porsche uses an odd size. Good luck.
