Mine is just "Porsche" or "the Boxster" or "that car that I daily drive"

I think naming cars is stupid.

But! That's just my opinion. You guys can go on your merry way.

Folks name their car because they have grown to love and respect it and it has become part of their life and family.

If you wash, wax and polish the car yourself, and maybe even do maintenance you will get there.

Someone needs more alone time with his car so he can bond with it

I do wash, clean, and do ALL the maintenance on my cars. However, I don't grow attached to them. They are still machines to me. Perhaps the Mechanical Engineer side of me showing.

Especially my race car, I hate that thing with a passion and that hate lets me drive the **************** out of it. If I wreck it I am going in hard enough to total the car, no desire to fix it up.

Haha I'm kind of with you on this, I mean it's not like I have it burnished onto a key fob or have a shirt with it.

The Cayenne is known as Elepants, the GT3 is Gertrude, the 70 911 is Jezzabel and the SpecBox simply POJ because she started as a recovery from an underwater excursion during Katrina and looked and smelt like a Piece of Junk. Hey, who knows why these things stick.

Cool 2-way Hate

I named mine 2 way hate because when I go slow people are blinded by my rims and hate, but when I go fast they hate because of the loud racing exhaust.
