I would convert both low and fog's to HID's.

HID low beam looks so much better IMO.

many people had halogen fog lights.....too much heat and boiled/baked the area under the bulb.
I'm not sure if HID has less heat but people that used the fogs with HID hasn't had the paint boil/bake issue.....then again my info is from the very inital sets that were sold.
These have been out for a few years now and the manufacturer may have corrected this already.

Either way, HID low's and fog's were awesome

The Wife wanted some "Wings" for Christmas. After all she is my Angel. So I gave them to her. Together we installed Her "Wings" on Her cars on Christmas day. They turned out pretty nice.

New Years Day drive

Took my 01 Boxster S out for a New Years day drive the other day. Just got around to snagging a few frames of video I took. Arivaca Rd from Amado, AZ to Arivaca, AZ is a great roadster trip. See the 3 pics. 1 of which almost ruined my day. Had he hit me I would've had evidence for sure.

Another foot or two and I would've been in the brush avoiding him.

Mesh headrest

I added the mesh headrest to my 986...it's soooooo cool watching how these little upgrades are slowly but surely giving my Box the look and feel of a true "sexy Porsche"

Egads!! Drove the Boxster in the rain today
I hope I didn't ruin it

Raining cats and dogs here in San Diego today. We are expecting 2-6 inches over the next few days.

Handled great, even with really wet roads. Probably somewhat due to the fact my tires are new

Wet roads, Jay? Really? REALLY?!

Sheesh...you folks in the southwest react to rain worse than we do to ice, haha!

Good gawd it's raining in Phoenix and is supposed to for FIVE days.....and yes I drove the Boxster in the rain. Fun to do so as I don't get the chance to do so very often.

I used to live in Sierra Vista, AZ and always got a kick out of all the slow drivers and accidents that happened when it would rain.

People in Arizona (and most of California, I'm a native) don't know how to handle the wet stuff. It can be annoying but also quite entertaining.

I know Charles, we actually had wet roads

Yo do know I was being facetious
The Boxster is my DD and I drive it year round. It just doesn't rain much in San Diego.

If I was in a cold climate, I would still drive it year round. At the end of the day, it is still a car, not something that needs to be put to sleep for the winter

Yeah, I don't get it either. I don't daily drive mine, no matter the season, but I do keep it off of the salted main roads in the winter.

I was going to take it for a romp around the neighborhood today, but the battery was dead...oops! Not sure what happened, but it's been on the charger all day and we are getting freezing rain tomorrow. That won't stop me. I've got the itch.

I replaced one of the micro switches in my spare key fob. Now it works flawlessly!

Yes, it is still just a car but here in the Great White North, not Toronto or Vancouver, but the True great White North, other than a Cayenne, Panamera or Macan, Porsches are best not used in sub sub sub zero conditions. Especially convertibles. I have my Fusion and may Escape to take the winter weather abuses and the Boxster would not be any fun at all in these conditions.

PS, if I was anywhere like San Diego I would use it everyday as well.
