Finally couldn't stand having only the orange headlights and the cost to upgrade to clear headlights is steep. Best to return the car to stock as it was designed (2000 base).
Replaced gas cap and now have a leash!
Took a fabulous midweek run on Glendora Mountain Road. Passed only a few cyclists and maybe three cars. The Boxster is a very fun car to drive if you didn't already know.
To do - install purchased Focal speakers in the dash.

I have a mint set of orange tail lights from a 1998 if interested.

Tropical storm Andrea has left the area. It is that time down here. I left the F150 parked , walked over one stall, dropped the top and drove into work. Enjoyed the fresh cool air and no traffic on my early AM commute, great way to start the day, with an internal combustion induced grin. I hope the Tropical storm is benign to all of you north of me.

Looked at the radar and saw clear skies. So I gave her a real good bath. Two hours later it rained for thirty minutes. I hate Florida sometimes.

I replace my axles and rear wheel bearings... The old axles were getting a little dirty.

Took a drive up to the mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway
Headed out early yesterday with one of my pals, and found some curvy roads before it got so crowded. Since the storm had just passed, the roads were still wet in spots, which increased the pucker factor.
I took this photo at one of the overlooks along the Blue Ridge Parkway. As you can see, the fog was still sitting in the valleys nicely. As the temperature rose, we went topless.

I bought them from German Parts and Restoration (GPR):
GPR - German Parts & Restoration LLC - Your European Auto Parts Resource
Jon is a good friend of mine so he gave me a special price, but still way north of $800 each.

Filled mine up with oil today.
The burning smell I use to have at the rear of my car after a drive seems to have disappeared.
The engine sounds great!

Arguably one of the best Porsche moments there are. Congrats.

Coffinhunter is right - and fortunately, in my experience, it is not like a sailboat (where it is often said that the two best moments are when you buy it ... and when you sell it)!

Turned my car in to a few more small pieces than it was when the day started. Last night coming home from work I installed marbles in my drivers door when I lowered my window into the locked and fixed position of down.
The moment it started going down I knew the cables were roasted. Soooo...300 bones later I have a new window assembly on the way and it will be installed on Monday! Hate missing the weekend drives as the weather is picture perfect for the Highland Games we are headed over to see... Oh well.

Got new rear tires, cleaned the entire car, let daughter take her driver's test in it and she passed. So proud of her.
