Being dad taxi. Carting my kids between several birthday parties. It's no chore in a Porsche! All my kids friends going 'wow! A porche!' And even one saying 'a 911!'

Welcome home.

I've spent many Summers growing up visiting relatives in Germany and at 16 driving the great roads including the Nurburgring. Your going to miss those especially with your Boxster.

Hit the 100K mark on the clock this morning in the pouring rain.

Changed the oil, switching from my trusty Mobil 1 0W-40 to Motul 8100 X-cess 5W-40, as recommended by the tech guys at Excellence magazine, for the M96 engine.

Just got her back from my indie also, who completed a suspension refresh with new Bilstein HD struts all around and new rear trailing arms. My front brakes took a beating at my last DE at MSR, so I got the front rotors, pads, and sensors replaced.

I’m hoping she’s good for another 100,000 miles, as the engine maintenance was zeroed out at around 80K, complete with new IMS bearing, water pump, AOS, coolant expansion tank and flush, and battery. The engine still runs strong and smooth, never any filings in the oil, the suspension is nice and tight again, and she’s still a damn good looker, to boot.

Are you serious?

You fly an MD80 through weather over 1000 miles and you wonder if I drive my Boxster in the wet?

Scarlett is like the postman............"neither rain nor hail nor sleet nor snow nor heat of day nor dark of night" .....................(OK, maybe not sleet).

Just sayin'..........

Washed my engine yesterday. Sprayed on some Dawn liquid detergent and lightly sprayed wáter to rise. I had a lot of trouble getting the top out of the way with theb glass window. The plastic window used to just fold out of the way. The glass widow wouldn't let me get it out of the way. Any hints with this?

Had the headlight switch replaced and now the dash and rear license plate lights work.

Had some goodies come in from the mail today as well as placing my order for new tires, so I thought I'd share a bit. Front and rear hubcentric wheel spacers(7mm/15mm), clear sidemarkers, and also ordered Hankook Ventus Rs3 tires(225/45-17 in front and 255/40-17in front). I've never had ecperience with Hankooks personally but I've been hearing from a few track friends that for the price, nothing can beat it so I thought I'd give them a try.

Thank you! Nothing special(by Posche fanatic standards) but It's been a long road since I first got it. The car's paint when I origianlly got it from Florida was so destroyed I didn't think I'd be able to salvage it, but with some countless hours and patience she's shining!

Next up aside from the tires when they come in are some coilovers to tighten the car's ride.

The paint looks great and I'm really diggin the black and silver monochrome look

Now get those lights de-ambered, haha!
Actually, I kinda like amber on black, but it would sure tie the front end in with the side markers and wheels.
