Great looking! Did you wrap these as well with the same material like the exterior?

Got a smog test and passed. Had to remove engine cover. I wonder if it's only a California thing.

Did a few interior repairs, mods and relocations:

Installed Tequipment steering wheel
Installed Tequipment brake handle
Installed GT3 console delete
Relocated gauges from top dash slot to GT3 console
Relocated AC from bottom console slot to dash
Performed AC vent incision for flap door foam fix
Polished painted center console
Fixed non-cancelling turn signals
Fixed intermittent horn
Replace door actuator so that I can actually lock my car at night
Installed red leather trim pieces around center console
Replace Sony stereo with OEM looking Continental unit
Removed owners manual bracket

On the way:
Matching Tequipment shift knob (need to restore leather)
Paint seat backs in black
Dye some leather parts for a better match (most parts came from different cars)
New floor carpets
Clean that nasty interior!

The steering wheel (look and feel), GT3 console (clean look and LEGROOM) and stereo (clean OEM look) are some of the best mods I've done to this car. What a difference!

More photos as soon as it's done and cleaned up

Went to my very first PCA event

Had a blast at my very first Hudson Valley regional PCA event. What a great group, should have signed up when I first bought the car 3 years ago.

Mine is in the far row, dead center. I think there were 60+ cars, had so many great conversations with people directly around me I never even made it though a 1/4 of the cars.

Great to meet you yesterday and glad you enjoyed the event. I’ll bring the 550SE to our next C&C instead of the Macan Turbo. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Since my Tip tranny was out for a torque converter and pump replacement, I thought I'd make the best of the situation and replace the IMS, RMS and AOS (I couldn't get the expansion tank in time and I didn't want to hold up the transmission shop too long. They were already gracious enough to let me do the work in their space.)

The RMS and AOS went easily. However, I could not get the IMS bearing out since the center bolt was too big for the IMS Tool. So after some more research, I found that I have an M97 engine in my 2002. FYI: There was an electrical plug close to the bottom bolt of the AOS and I couldn't fit my 3/8 drive ratchet with the Inverted Torx socket. However, I did have a 5/16" 12-point box wrench that fit perfectly. This may help those doing the AOS with the tranny in.

I did reposition the 2 difficult hose clamps behind the expansion tank to face up so it should make replacement a little easier, if necessary.

Oh and BTW, of all the videos I saw on replacing the IMSB, none of them said that the drive plate bolts are TORQUE TO YEILD. Which means they are not reusable. Maybe because the videos I saw were all of manual transmissions, and the flywheel bolts are not TTY? IDK. I'll be going to a local Porsche dealer tomorrow to pick up 8 of them.

Replaced the engine mount, front control arms, and drop links. No more shake, rattle, and roll! And the best part? I didn't break anything. I did get to practice my jacking skills, though, as I initially torqued the control arms without loading the suspension and then had to jack the car back up to torque them properly. And if I'm totally truthful, I accidentally pushed one of the metal clips up into the plastic cover under the gas tank, never to be seen again.
