I replaced my front drop (sway bar) links. It took care of an annoying little rattle. I was amazed at how easy it was. There was no pre-load on the sway bar as I have found on other cars, so the old links just popped out and the new ones slid in.

Started out last week replacing a leaking power steering line and in the process found that the Tension roller and both Idle rollers had about 2mm of wobble in them!

So this weekend, I replaced all the rollers. If I had I not removed the belt to get at the PS pump and leaking line I would not have noticed the rollers were worn. There was no unusual sound coming from them and under load they all appeared to be running smoothly. But with the belt off I was able to wiggle them back and forth a surprising amount. They appeared to be the original rollers so they had about 106,000 miles on them. I changed the belt a couple years ago and don't recall noticing any wobble at that time. Glad I caught this before anything failed while on the road.

Got tired of the brake calipers looking tired so I decided to paint them this weekend (plus changed the wheel caps to color ones!).

Nice.
The center caps—I've considered doing that myself. The ones I've got are color as well, but the years have taken their toll: they've gotten faded and dull.
Where'd you get your new ones? Pricey, or not too bad?

Mines were faded too and beyond repairs. After looking at the cost of the originals, I found an aftermarket wheels website that offers more affordable chinese replacements (around $25/set with shipping) that good enough for me. Fitting was decent and for the price, I got the silver/black ones too in case I want a change.

The site name is rhino tuning. Not sure if I can post the link so just send me a private message if you have troubles finding the site.

			Thanks, got it.
I don't know if we're supposed to post links or not, never really worried about it. (Been doing it, at least on occasion, for like a dozen years...so far so good. )

Installed a new AOS to replace the 'smokin one'. Now the smoke is gone. More testing tomorrow on the road
After reading and watching YT stories of very difficult change of AOS, this actually was an easy one. Aprpox 20 minutes t take the old out and approximately same like 20 minutes to put a new one in.
Plenty of oil in AOS hose to intake.

Old AOS has some oil also in the top most hose connection.

New AOS in.

Went into the garage and started her up to do the morning commute. Flashing coolant temperature idiot light lit up. Checked the reservoir and it looked empty. Looked on the floor to see that she somehow dumped her coolant. Checked the trunk and it’s dry. Slight water mark on the top of the fill area from the cap so hopefully easy fix. It has the 04 cap so don’t know. Will put her up and check around tomorrow.

Looked to be coming from the overflow possibly from the cap. Filled the reservoir and no obvious leaks and brought to temperature. Pulled the water pump and it looks like there’s a very small amount of play in the bearing and it has been leaking from same. Will check with the dealers in Montreal for replacement parts. Do they carry low temperature thermostat or do I have to go to LN for that?

Edit
Ordered Full kit from LN. Comes to a few bucks more but comes with a few bits more. Prefer to order from one place for simplicity’s sake.

			Not quite all today, but....

Yesterday, the new hardtop rack arrived, so I built it, put the hardtop on it and stowed it, then went for the first drive with the top down since I bought my car last week. So nice, even if it was hot, humid, and we had the AC blasting "Texas style." My son loved it, even though it tangled his long, flowing locks something fierce.

Decided on the colors for my Xenox projector retrofit.
Just have to secure the lens and add the gasket. Oh and do the other side.
