I removed my cheese grater clutch and brake pedals, for the comfy stock rubber. This make barefoot driving more comfy.

I picked up my car from the shop today. They welded the midpipe back together, added a couple of gussets for strength and also welded some broken mounting tabs. So I'm good to go for Saturday's autocross!

What did you do with/to your Boxster today?
Installed new Litronics headlights today. With 700 lm LEDs in the fog lights to retain my DRL hack. I thought my refurbed headlights looked great until I unboxed the new units.
In addition to the appearance, the wiring insulation was history on my original units and the self leveling was noisy on startup. All better now ;-)
Also, recently installed my factory Speedster humps just back from the paint shop. I love them. Weather permitting won’t see the top until the end of the season.

I say that every morning, I tell ya.
Coming back to the speedster humps and tops.
Absolutely no problem keeping the top down for months...seems to preserve it even.
Now my problem: While getting the speedster humps ready...I noticed a crack in one of those black thingamagics (s. pic; plastic holder piece, no idea what it is called)
Does anyone know, where to get new ones or have a part number?

Hi Bran,
I found this part number in the Tequip PET. The PET says only one needed but maybe it means one per side. Also found a newer part number (ending in 01 instead of 00) during my search.

Fantastic find, Fred!
Thank you, you saved my day/summer

It's a pretty bad crack.

Swapped in a used engine this weekend. Have some idling issues I posted about in a other thread, but excited to feel it move under its own power again.

Always wondered if there is any harm to never putting the top up. I have 2-3 times in the short 5 months I've owned mine but only if it looked like rain was a possibility.

Checked all fluids and aired the brakes as a preventative measure and went for a fantastic day of racing with my Boxster at Ahvenisto Circuit as PRCF (Porsche Racing Club Finland) Time Trial participant

Wow!
Fred, Max9 and P4f - your cars all look amazing. Each set up a bit different and for different things, but each car absolutely capable of doing what the other does.
Your three cars are a representation of why I'm so addicted to owning, driving, working on and simply admiring these cars.
Cheers to the three of you!

Window Reg
Unfortunately nothing as exciting as what some of you lucky guys are doing with those beautiful cars. I replaced the passenger side window regulator this weekend. Oh well, at least I’m happy to be rid of the grinding noise and have my window drop back .
