Like the steering wheel, is that a Porsche wheel? Also is that a lip spoiler on the stock bumper or did you change the bumper? Been searching for a front lip spoiler, don't want to change the bumper just add a lip spoiler. Anyway nice looking ride.

I have seen one of these in person and it looks pretty good. Easy to install and remove.

Thanks for the compliment!

The steering wheel is a modified Porsche wheel so I could reinstall my factory airbag. The wheel is flat bottomed, thicker, ergonomic inserts, silver stitch with silver top stripe. Also incorporated perforated leather on the sides, and the leather is very soft. Not cheap, but it feels great in my hands.

My front bumper cover is the OEM GT3/AerokitII style, which I found on Ebay and it came with the larger OEM lip spoiler (there are 2 options). I also added the AerokitII side skirts, the GT3Tek rear diffuser, and the Toth ducktail rear spoiler.

I think the Duraflex version looks like a nice addition to a stock bumper cover.
Also check out the GT3Tek lip spoiler. Their rear diffuser is a high quality part.

/\ love the updates to the car!

today i installed:

3 spoke wheel
997 shifter
ECU Doctor Water proof immobilizer case

easy to do them all at the same time, disconnect the battery, and with the seat removed the center console was a bit easier to deal with. I've owned the car for about 8 months and every time you do work on a car you learn some things. I learned:

1. under the seat was COMPLETELY dry, it doesn't appear water has ever gotten into the cabin or on the carpet - Knock on wood

2. the center console was definitely removed before as there were some screws missing and the shift know came off very easily.

3. there was a collection of dirt and acorns under the center console. Tells me at some point there may have been some unwanted tenants residing in the car. Luckily all the wiring and carpet looked fine so whatever brought that stuff into the car seems to have vacated without causing any damage - knock on wood again!

I converted my tiptronic to paddle shift. I'll write a how-to later, but the short version is that I followed this: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/929250-paddle-shifter-install-on-tiptronic-write-up-2.html

I haven't been there since about '03.
At that time, there was a berm of dirt at the outside of the exit of T1, to keep anyone running wide from running into traffic at the exit of T2. Yeah.... on a superbike, we referred to it as "the jump".

And the back straight? Yeah.... if you blew your brake markers, there was a dumping yard for broken -up concrete at the runout.

And you had to be really careful adding power as you came onto the front straight, because that was the burnout lanes for the dragstrip.... very inconsistent surface / traction, with a steel plate covering where they would install the tree for drag racing.

It was horrible.

Washed and treated the convertable top. After washing there was a huge amount of lint on the top, first tried vacuuming it - effective but slow, then I got out the lint brush and in a few minutes all the lint was gone.

Get one of those disposable sticky lint rollers, works great and easy changing the paper.

Finally fixed water leak

into back floor of the driver seat for good.

Drain under the clam shell was flowing not as fast as the other side, no matter how much I blow compressed air through... it was over flowing and water was flowing into the interior underneath the rain tray/ foam.

I took the tube out of chassis and found a broken ball joint end wedged inside... lucky that driver side tube is semi-transparent to see it, pass side is black so can’t see through it. I had to cut up the tube to get it out then taped two pieces together with waterproof alum tape. Plastic funnel was also deformed a bit and two wrinkle holes in the bottom too so taped them shut as well. Lm

Hosed water and zero leak, no more worry about electrocuting my immobilizer. While I was there with plastic liners out, brush-cleaned inside the rear wheel wells to wash out mud, salt and grime from winter driving.

I have leak in the trunk too, water drips near the tail light under heavy rain... but could not reproduce it today hosing water around. Keeping an alum cooking tray to catch water meanwhile...
