I have done at least ten 700+ mile road trips. My Boxster has never left me stranded, only one time did the engine ever die on me and it immediately restarted and drove 30 miles home, and then I had the clutch replaced. She is my DD, rain, shine, or blizzard.

I can't speak for everyone, but my Boxster is very reliable, completely stock with the original engine, IMS, RMS.
