Two-tone Boxsters?

Two-tone paint jobs looked great in the 50s. I suppose they stopped doing that because it was more work than one colour. Has anyone done this to their Boxster? Photos?

Mercedes had that as well through the early '80's until they realized how bad it looked. It went the way of fake wood paneling on the PT cruisers.

A stripe or graphics can look decent, two-tone paint would not be on any car I'd own.

Start with Photoshop and try out a few paint schemes on the photo of your choice. Most likely you'll convince yourself that there was a reason two-tone paint went out of style.

How about something like this. Rather ugly if you ask me. Looks like someone that still needs to paint their body kit.

I've always thought about getting my top recolored.

Black and yellow or something to that extent. I know there are some silver boxsters with red tops out there, and I thought they looked great

Gah. I think the car itself is a classic shape. Two tone paint distracts from that and tries to impose another shape.

I think that body kit makes it look like a pinewood durby car.

I'd call that more a single color with an accent color; not two-tone. My car is similar to yours.
