Shane's an observant fellow, Randall. Buy him a beer for me, would ya? I'll get you a few of your own to make up for it when I come to visit you one of these days.

Since they are so low to the ground they can easily get torn off by road debris.
They serve an important function.
If you appreciate your tranny, make sure you have two spoilers in place.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro
Thanks for the info, Pedro. I figured they had to serve some sort of purpose to be there like that, and that certainly is an important one given how hot everything back there always is. Are these metal? Plastic? Rubber? Are they replaceable pieces should they find a way to get torn off?

I don't have these on my 2004 base - do I need them and where can I get them? I suspect it may be a $100 piece of plastic if I fall off my turnip truck at the dealership.

Hopefully this shouldn't go under the "What's the dumbest Boxster question?" thread, but here goes: At that ******************************************** site, when you click on that part number what comes up is "Brake Spoiler Edge". This has something to do with the brakes? I thought it was for cooling the transmission?
