Soap and water, carwash with wax. Then just wax then every time you wax the car.

p21s is completely paint safe but a little pricey for regular use.
I'm using an OTC wheel cleaner sold by Armor All at Autozone. With a Meguair's Gold Class wheel face brush it makes quick work of anything regular car wash soap doesn't get out.

Found the time to do a detail last week. Didn't quite have the energy to break out the PC to polish, but did wash, clay, then applied two coats. The finish on these guys really cleans up nicely. The results---not bad for an 11 year old car:
I can't believe it, but I got the random orbital like 5 years ago (not all that long after I got the Box) and haven't used it on this car yet. (Have used it on another.) Just didn't see the need---was seeing no swirls. Well, this year, if I looked really close in just the right light I could see a few. So...guess I'll have to give it a try (NEXT year ).
What I used. (The pink stuff? FinishKare 425.)

Thanks for the comments. I left out one thing...the quick detail bottle, used with the clay bar.
The downside to detailing? It sure don't last...
Spring's tough: you got all that pollen in the air, and dust and intermittent showers, a regular PITA.
For all you anal retentives out there, relax---I gave her a bath right after taking that photo.
