Has anyone had experience with this :

VOLKSWAGEN VW iPOD iPHONE MP3 3.5MM AUX INPUT MODULE | eBay

Would it work ?

Beware of those cables sold on eBay . They're really not designed to work with the Becker radio. They will shunt power to your devise and consequently destroy it ! Ask me how I know ?

there are essentially 3 options that i think are worth exploring when you want to hook your iPhone to the factory radio without using an FM transmitter:

1. becker: they sell an iphone/ipod cable. $$$

2. iWireP: they sell one with the 30-pin dock connector. add in the scosche adapter to output sound. it WILL charge / output from older generation ipods (no adapter needed) but with newer ipods and iphones you need the scosche adapter. check the website / send an e-mail for compatibility.

3. audio output from headphone jack. lots of companies make these (iWireP has one of these as well for "generic" devices). obviously no charging

i went with #2 and my older generation ipod - both the nano and classic work fine to output audio and charge.
