51, engineering supervisor at a major telecom company.

I purchased my 01 S in May because A) my daughter was graduating in June and I would be free of the $5K/quarter tuition and books cost; B) I needed a something to take over my -miles Acura CL 5spd which had no working A/C, needs a new timing belt, brakes, etc.; 3) after 30 years of only driving manual, I couldn't think of buying a car with auto; 4) I've wanted a Porsche since I was in my early teens; and 5) my father died in March with a life of dull vehicles behind him {Studebaker, Chevy Belaire & Townsman wagons, Dodge K-car, Ford Escort, Honda CRV}.

My first two cars were a 69 Camaro with a 2-sp auto (yes, 2-sp), a 71 Camaro, and I've also owned a Celica GT and the original 90 Eclipse GSX with turbo and AWD.

But the Boxster is incomparable. It's been my DD since I bought it, and is now almost ready for Winter hibernation.

54, Sr. Application Engineer.. (fancy title for data & VoIP network design)
I design data and voice networks for business.. I've been working in the communications industry for 32 years..
Enjoying life...
Had many cars(too many to list), sold my 05 Mercedes the beginning of the year. (had 36K on it, purchased in 6-2004)
Purchased the P-car to compliment my motorcycle.. This is my motorcycle on 4 wheels..
I love how this car takes RPM's. just winding out the gears is one of the best parts of driving it..
Funny how I watch the RPM's now instead of the Speedometer...

I don't have what you call a daily driver, I work virtual office from home.
My commute is from the coffee pot to my desk in the morning...
Been working virtual office for over 10 years, so all my vehicles have low mileage.. Except the Boxster...

Other vehicles, 2007 Toyota Tacoma, (44K), 2010 Honda Fury (12K)

44 - Case Manager for the Department of Justice. Common question asked is how someone in law enforcement can afford to drive a Porsche....Don't buy new. 2003 Boxster S was less than A LOT of boring new cars out there, and less than many used!!!!
