25, Design Engineer for fighter aircraft. Got my Boxster about 6 months ago. I also have an Ambulance and a Subaru Legacy that I rally race a few times a year. Way more fun doing 80+mph sideways through the trees.

61, I owned a pre A 356 back in late 60's and first half of 70's. sold it in SF when first kid came along, to make a down payment on one of those (too expensive) houses out there. My wife apparently remembered, because when I moved back to US after 10 years or so of working overseas, she had a very nice 986 Boxster S waiting in the driveway when I. Arrived from the airport.

58, retired Navy Commander, owner of my own law firm practicing environmental law and business litigation, previously had several BMWs, a Vette, couple of Mustangs, and a '01 Boxster. Saw the '03 S for sale while on vacation in Portland, Oregon last summer, bought it and drove her back to St. Louis.

47 year old airline pilot (First Officer) at a regional airline (that means I make a hell of a lot less than Bruce, and work way harder/am gone from home more). Now it's all dinged up from the idiots in the airport parking lot, and after having thrown a bearing at Road America, I can't/won't track it anymore either. It's still fun to drive, but it is only serving half the purpose I bought it for, so I expect I won't have it much longer.

BTW, it's funny that the spell checker on this page thinks that "Boxster" is a misspelled word.

I have been a flight service instructor for a major airline ,ski instructor,restaurant owner,sailing enthousiast,motorcycle maniac.Am now 65 with a Boxster 2000 with 60000 miles and love the car.Previous cars.......everything from a 914,Tr7,MGB,Corvettes,Fiat X 1/9,Triumph GT6,Mercedes c-300.

Sorry to hear guys. Life in Europe isn't much better, I'm afraid. Same situation over here. Flying for a regional daughter company of one of the majors. Getting paid a lot less then the rest of the company. On the other hand... still go to work with a smile on my face and enjoying the views over Paris, Amsterdam and London. Life could be better, be could also be a lot worse.

67 years old. I am a EE by training. Started with Naval Weapons Center working on the sidewinder missile. Retired after 30 years with Bell Telephone Labs/AT&T. Last assignment was product engineering for silicon wafer fabrication.

My 2001 Boxster, Lapis Blue, is my first Porsche.

Flying is tough all over if you're trying to do it for money (several career pilot's in my family). If you're flying a GA single or twin for business/pleasure (I do), doing so in Europe seems to be cost/regulation prohibitive.

Do you do any flying outside of the company cockpit?

Minor cog in a giant wheel 70% of the time, 25% I do my real job Uncle Sam asked me to do, and 5% I am God's gift to motoring and style, top down and menacing public freeways.

Just turned 30, bought the Rainforest Green/Savannah Tan 986 with 5-speed two years ago and sadly only able to put 5000 miles on it. (See 5% comment)

Not an engineer!

PS However, my dad was an engineer and had a '75 Speed Yellow 914.

PSS Grandad was an engineer as well, famous for helping design the brakes on the Concorde, remarked that if he'd had one of those he'd actually ENJOY working on a car!

Not de-ambered, keeping it original for now as I barely have time to drive it!

Aluminum-look roll bars, 17" Sport Classic II wheels, PSM, wind-deflector.

Only got it up to 130mph so far!

If I can figure out how to post the pictures I have a 10 scale RC boxster I built that matches my Rainforest Green boxster. Love the Green and tan combo, as soon as I saw the car I had to have it.
