I received the -040 connector. The -009 pins can be gently forced into the -040 Connector (black plug) but the little retaining flap, which is part of the -040 connector, cannot be locked into position.
The -010 pins easily slide into the -40 connector, and the locking flap snaps shut. The -010 pins can be put in rotated 180 degrees, but the locking flap won't close.
From my experience:
If you are going to do the OBC/4-stalk hack, follow the Pelican directions. Purchase the -009 wires, the -010 wires, and the -040 Connector.
If you are going to put in dash switches, then maybe just purchasing the
-009 wires will work, depending on the connectors needed to attach the wires to the dash switches.
