2000 Boxster base, 2.7L 76K miles
I'm checking my MPG just like you.. every time I fill up, I pull my phone to do the calculations
I was getting 16-18mpg, and I drive about 40/60 city/HWY.
For last 2 tanks I'm up to about 20mpg thanks to technotorque, but then again.. I cruise at over 3K rpms

on long trips (on the highway full time) i get 24, otherwise i get around 19 mixed driving (and i don't necessarily drive "conservatively," so punch it more... )

2006 Boxster S (pushing 43,000 miles now!)
Spirited country roads I get low-low 20's.
Highway cruising I get over 28.
I'm never in city stop & go traffic.
99.99% top down.
I exclusively purchase 93 octane without ethanol. Makes a HUGE difference.
