Definitely yes. A couple of engine changes over the years.

I wouldn't buy an '05. Never, ever buy the first model year of a new car -- especially a car that can be brutally expensive to repair.

To answer your original question -- how/when? I would buy a CPO car only from a dealer, and I'd be doing it soon, definitely in the winter.

You might be surprised what low 30's can get you...
