rear tire wear

ok, the rim is trued up, new rubber is on. now I'm wondering about the wear on the old tires. outside couple inches was still looking good. middle was in the wear bars and the inside was down to the cords in places. looking at the car from the rear it seems like there is a little neg. camber. so... is this a normal wear pattern or do I need some kind of rear alignment? fronts are wearing evenly accross the tire. thanks for the inout.

Alignment needed for street use.

Not uncommon to wear on the inside since the suspension is independant. It will handle better with neg camber although an alignment will improve tire wear.

Mine wear evenly, altho rt rear wears faster than left. If inside is wearing and outside is not, you have too much negative camber.

A lot of guys used to dial in neg camber at the rear for track work, esp A/X. Not sure about that with modern suspension geometry.

The more weight you put in the car, the more negative the camber goes. Have someone do an alignment with the same weight in the car as you usually have. Also have them adjust the camber and toe to the lowest values of the alignment specs.

315's??? How on earth do those fit?

I would think if you head back towards a more "normal" set-up (265/18 for example) you would probably have a lot less problems, and defintely save a fortune on oversized and prematurely wearing expensive rubber.
