I'm amazed at the snow we got in the DFW area. I'm in the TCU area and have never seen snow like this in Texas. I had some fun today sliding around in an empty parking lot....always a good time. I will be thinking about these days when I'm burning up in the 100*+ summer in a few months....

That meant there was snow on the ground in 49 of the 50 states. Hawaii was the lone hold out.
No, there was snow at the top of Mauna Loa and Kea last I checked...it was there when we visited last year, as well.

Yea, I believe there's also a permanent snow cap on the top of Haleakala on Maui - 10,000+ ft. elevation. I was up there once to see the sun rise and it was 83 degrees down the valley, but 28 degrees at the top of the crater.
Cheers!

That proves you can't believe everything those rat bastard TV people tell you. Heard the 49 states / no snow in Hawaii stmt on 2 natl new stations. I'll check my facts / sources better next time.

More deck furniture snow apparitions---It DOES sort of give the impression like somebody’s sitting in those chairs, doesn’t it?? I’m just tired of shovelin’ the stuff…

I dont think they are looking for sympathy... Just expressing the novelty of snow in southern US.
We had it too in LA, but it wouldn't stick. The 4th time in my life I have seen it here.

i sense some sarcasm...
the last time i remember "that much" snow in dallas was in 1981. i remember making a pretty decent snowman. since then it's mostly been hit or miss and usually melted later that day or by the next morning.

A foot of snow on Friday, completely gone by Sunday afternoon. One of the reasons I moved to Texas all those years ago.

Boxster Snow Boarding
Turn your Boxster into a snow board. Find a nice snow covered hill. Strap on some good old ski's to your tires. Put the top down, place one foot in each seat then buckel them down. Stand up and grab the windshield...with a slight push from your buddies, your are now having the thrill you always wanted...going fast and furious with absolutely no control over what is about to happen...it's like being married but much shorter.
