As someone in the market for his first Box--and considering a newer 987--I too am a bit disappointed in this offering. When I saw the spy videos several months ago I was getting excited. Now that it's out--yes, it looks nice. But as jmatta said, 178lbs isn't really that huge. if you think about it, it's essentially the difference between having a passenger or not. For someone like me--looking for a daily driver---the lack of a true top makes this a deal breaker. I would have actually preferred just a manual top even if that added say 80lbs back---and keep all the other changes they made (e.g. suspension, more hp, speedster humps)...
