Your are right!! The cost of new is outrageous!

That and the fact that Porsche over reached the past couple of years and now may have to accept more VW ownership...or ownership from the middle east. Maybe time to get back to building cars instead of trying to take over the automotive world. But than again, that is why I tend to buy used.

Haha, Randall I figured you'd like that. I heard the sound clip from the teaser video before and on the first rev I thought I died and went to heaven.

Imagine the sound of that engine in a boxster... forget the cayman. Top down and hearing the 6 purrr with the intake.

What really gets me is with that directly behind me I could leave a Vett standing still.. what a dream.....

Honestly for 121k I would buy a 2000S for 15k or so... drop that engine into it (60k?) and that leaves 46k for interior, suspension, exterior body kit and carbon fiber, new paint job.. and there would still be money left over to take my significant other out shopping downtown in the new car.

Thats just me... I wouldnt buy new.

Or just go electric:

and spend the rest on extra batteries...

Im not a fan of OBAMA.. or the "Green" scam. Go research it yourself. It is a natural cycle of the world that we are in and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it... think of ourselves as a flea on the back of a dog, the flea has no say in what the dog does.

GIVE ME A BIGGER ENGINE...

Uh......right. We can save this for another thread. But it's true--we WILL pay a price for converting 2billion year organic life into CO2 (and other compounds). Nothing is free. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

GIVE ME A SMALLER ENGINE

P.S. I have a Ph.D in Chemistry. I don't need to research it...
