Hood / frunk closing force?

Mine got a bit loose. I tightened it using a socket on the end of a screwdriver-type driver. Now I push just below the badge -- with a clean rag if my hands aren't clean.

The reason I wanted to lube it is that it has a metal-on-metal grinding feel to it. I will try cleaning it, and I do have some silicone spray I can try.

My emblem was loose when I got the car. I removed it to apply stone guard. It had been assembled with some sort of gasket paste, so I put a little more on there. Seems good so far.

My emblem is a little loose as well, but it is not a problem to tighten it up.
I've also never heard the word 'frunk' before, but apparently it has it's own wiki page, here.

I close my front trunk pretty much like ekam does......my wife was asking me how come you have to apply force to close the front lid.....she's used to cars where you just drop the lid and it closes.
