If you are concerned about resale buy a used muffler off of ebay, print out Pedro's instructions and take it to a muffler shop, that's what I did. IIRC I was charged $125 for the labor and it took them about 3 hrs. Of course, I am in the city of Chicago and there are small muffler shops on every corner.

But, even with a little higher labor charge and a used stock muffler and you will still be well under what they are charging on ebay. When you sell your car, switch back to your original muffler and sell the modified one on ebay for probably close to what you paid in total. It's a win/win.
