you have to ask yourself the question though....why is it for sale ?!?! sometimes too much power destroys the whole nature of the car, ok, great in a straight line so long as it does'nt torque steer but i've always found if you want a faster car then...errr.. well buy a faster car. before you tear me of a strip i love to improve a cars performance but to what extent? i have a mear 2.5L (a mear 5.5" PINKY SIZE in the real world of performance) but it's how fast i DARE to go into the approaching corner thats the buzz and can i take that speed out the other side?!?!, all i'm saying is, it's what you do with it and not what you got that matters !!! (as in life.....lol)

I know what you are trying to say, but unless the motor is significantly heavier and throws off the balance and handling of the car I don't see an issue. If you don't need the power don't press the GO pedal as hard. Besides it's not over powerful at only 50hp more than a new S. I think that power level is just about right for the Box.

torque steer???? i didn't see the part of the ad where he converted it to FWD.

i stand corrected, what i meant was the power steering the car from the rear, it's ok if you know what your doing but it can bite you in the @$$ oh so quickly if you dont. a car with that much power may have to command too much respect from you on a day to day basis, hence the carrera 4

Even at 325 hp for a stock 3.6, that is not a lot of hp. Lots of other street cars are pumping out a lot more hp and torque. I use my car all year round, with 350hp it is quite easy to drive, no PSM, no traction control.

One thing to consider on that car is that looking at the pictures, the variocam plus is most likely controlled by a piggy back system and they have a modified program in the 7.2 DME as the CAN bus electronics have not been integrated in order to use the factory 7.8DME. This is the cheap and easy way to do the conversion. I am obviously biased, but I would rather have a car that you can take to any shop and have them plug in the PIWIS or PST testers and diagnose and repair it just like a factory built car.

i just realized why it's more of a big deal to me rather than you guys in the states concerning big power and rear wheel drive all in a small package, in the uk the roads are mainly very narrow and VERY twisty and 40+% of the time wet and greasy, when i went to florida last year i could'nt belive how big the roads were!?!? you can have real fun on our roads but it can come at a cost, our salvage yards are full of trashed sports cars.
