You mean a Boxster S with a limited slip differential is faster around the Nurburbring than a base 911?
I doubt that.

Given the chassis design I have no problem believing that. The 550 spyder was not a car of enormous power either. Racing isn't a fist fight, a lot of times the ballerina beats the brawny bruiser.
PS The RS Spyder is a mid engined design, spanked the more powerful Audi's this year. The 911 is iconic and remains Porsche's flagship, the truth is it is not their best design but when the public buys doughnuts you make doughnuts.

you can get the euro mirrors for $150 a set at suncoast.
btw if all you're concerned about is blind spots, can't you stick these little convex things on your mirrors and get a similar effect?

Well boys I love the fact I finally have a Porsche! Can I get a amen. I've got a 02 S bone ass stock. But I love what this car is, nothing fancy manual seats, 6 speed, bad stereo, no big brother management systems. I also drive a 03 silverado 4 door ,8' bed, loaded constuction worker type, and a 06 lexus GS 300 AWD that is sedan perfection. But I favor the S its driving at its purest, and don't get me started on track days!! Beats my 67 Rambler Rebel. My only hate is I wish I had started 25 years ago, I might have all those sportscar driving trophies, and a day job as a driving coach ha. I'm thinking rich guys and their vintage racers, gotta dream BIG. Hey I also really enjoy this forum, heres to you.

Strong dislikes: Lame car stereo that has no business in a Porsche. The stock AM radio in my 63 Chevy Nova sounded better. Lame plastic window... also far below brand standards.

What do you hate???
Love the car, don't get me wrong. I did sell a 1977S to move up to the Boxster S. The big difference that bugs me is I can hear all the plastic moving around in the Boxster which I never heard in my old car. I get to wonder in 2027 what is in better shape the 50 year old Porsche or the 25 year old one?
