Hey guys,

I think I am going to get the PS2s. $1400 for four tires! Damn!

The problem I had was finding the 265/35/19 rear tire. My only choices at the Tire Rack were PS2s, RE050A, PZero and Advan Sports. I remember reading a LT test on a 2005 Boxster S and the skidpad rating fell substantially with the Advans versus the PS2's, so those were out.

Given my choices, I decided to opt for the PS2s. I wish there was a less expensive 265/35/19 tire out there.

Nexens

I talked with Discount Tire today. $525 total cost installed for four Nexen N3000's. This seems like a good idea based on the comments in this tread and a whole lot easier to take than $1400. How is the ride comfort and niose level on the Nexens?

I just picked up the car and it needs tires now. Any other thoughts/considerations before I go with the Nexens?

Thanks

If you want the Michelin PS2, I got mine installed at Costco for $1100 or $1200. I'm thinking it was $1100. So, a little less than Tire Rack - no shipping or waiting or finding someone to mount and balance.
But of course once they are worn I will put Nexens on for $400 and hope for the tread life NickCats reports.

Nexens

Cars in the shop getting its 60K and a water pump. Will not get the tires until next week. Still thinking about the nexens. How is the ride quality and niose level compared to the others?

Thanks

Ride seems fine to me for a m030 car (sport suspension) and noise is minimal/none to me. But can't compare to others because this is all I've had on this car.
