The best thing is to check with the region AND track you will run with...
- Some regions allow use of the hardtop as a substitute for the broomstick rule
- Some regions will stick to the broomstick test regardless of which top you run
- Some tracks won't let you run top down without "open car" restraints - ie arm restraints AND fitting under a rollbar/broomstick test and visor/eye protection.
The point is, check first rather than showing up and being disappointed they wont let you run.
If you think about it, its only your head and neck being exposed in a rollover. If you think your neck can support a couple tons, go for it!
