I hope no one buys this so I can keep saving for it.

On a serious note, GLWS. The buyer will have nothing but smiles after this engine swap

Yes, the engine in my Box cured me of wanting a 996.

If I had stupid amounts of money, I'd be so ****************ing down. But man, w/ labor and everything to get this set up, it's like buying 4-5 986s. But I suppose those 4-5 986s still won't compare to a 986 w/ this bad boy in it. GLWS. I wish I could be the guy considering this purchase lol

Hmm... did you lowball him perhaps? He seems a little firm on his price, not that it’s a bad price.

I also sent him a PM asking relevant questions about the engine, but he never responded to me, either. My guess is that he just never checks messages.

This was my understanding of our initial conversation :

"I need to read the Pelican Parts engine swap article very closely"

The whole high compression + boost thing is overblown.. I've ran 13:1 compression with a large turbo. It's ringlands/rods/types of metal that matter at that point.

The caveat is at that point, i'd be very inclined to switch to e85, because e85 just refuses to knock.. I've pushed limits intentionally with it.. On most engines, you'll blow the side of the block out from cylinder pressure before you get e85 to knock (from advancing timing too much)

That said, meh. I'd rather have this in my car stock and reliable... I'm past the point in life where i want to wrench on my car more than I beat on it

Do you get much piston slap with those JE pistons? My JE stuff always slapped like crazy on cold start (last car I had with JE was actually a honda del sol @ 450whp)

It would burn a little oil on start sometimes but I beat the living hell out of it for 50k miles, probably harder than i've beaten a car in my life, mostly out of spite to illustrate how garbage most engine builders in my area are. :ah::dance::dance::dance:

Zero in my car because when you have LN install the Nickilsil 3.6 L sleeves they supply Je pistons & rings made for it The engine I have for sale has the same parts from LN
