Coilovers came in, not as represented by pics...seller post pics of the one coilover that is leaking rust from the blown seal and rusted shaft. I hope seller is a stand up guy and will stand behind this, no way he did not know the situation.

I have left PM

I have left text message

I have sent e-mail

I have left a voice mail

No response.

I made a mistake and sent fund PayPal friends and family so no way pursue an avenue for pulling funds back.

I will post here what the resolution. He has a number of parts for sale and this may be helpful for others make better choices in protecting themselves. It has been a very long time since I have had a bad experience making a purchase through a forum, I am new to this forum so maybe this is a good lesson in not trust...

He did say "condition unknown" in the listing...

You should never try to cheat PayPal by sending payments as gifts. PayPal provides a service and has a right to be compensated.
When you choose to pay for products or services with their gift option so you can save a few dollars, you lose all protection and have no one else to blame. You also bought them "condition unknown" and should have asked for more detailed pictures.

That being said, I'm sure Trendy is just busy and will get back to you when he can.

Yes, bad on me for doing a F&F transfer.

I spoke with seller on the phone, he sent more pics, he described them as looking fine, he just didn't know how they worked on the car. The condition of the rusted/leaking coil over was well known by the seller...blind people can not drive cars.

What year are they? Is the seller the original owner? How many miles? Koni might replace that under warranty. Just a thought. It is pretty nasty.

Maybe Koni can do a rebuild? That looks like a pretty sweet setup. For $500 (including shipping?) even with a rebuild it could still be a deal. Maybe that leak was under the bellows where it couldn't be seen?

Anyway, good luck, looks like a pretty sweet setup once you get it sorted.

Trendy996: Are you selling both rear red and clear tail lights for $220? does that include shipping?

No Bellows to hide anything, only pics taken to not show the problem. I'm seeing if there are parts anywhere to fix this, very unusual set of dampers...

Be cautious and use PayPal in such a way you have recourse, I wish I had.

I am not the original owner. I bought them and they sat for a year almost. I sold them unknown bc I never touched them or installed them. They absolutely did not leave me like that as pictured. I’ve been selling parts for a while. I’ve sold a lot of parts that I’ve listed here with no issues and the people got what was described. The pictures I posted would been able to have not shown that bad of a leak. Plain and simple. I can only imagine that as you described the chipped chrome that messed the seal was agitated the shipping from coast to coast. Nothing was misleading. I sold these at half of what I paid bc I didn’t know their condition from not installing them.

Trendy, maybe you should get new glasses if you could not see the mess you sent me. I accept I was an idiot to trust you...live and learn.

Over a week with no response to texts, phone calls, emails or messages. The only response is the post you just made here. Not the way I deal with things, but I generally stand behind my actions so we may be at different places.

One 3text succession, one phone call, one pm in 24 hrs. No need to make it like you continued to do so. You must need glasses as well since you clearly didn’t read my response. We are different people. I don’t leave aggressive first time voicemails. Probably a reason I didn’t respond so fast.

I dont really have a dog in this fight. I've only been watching it because I was interested in your taillights. Then I saw his posts and thought I'd follow the thread and see what happened.
I'm sure if you were the one out $500 you be a little more "aggressive" too. That's a pretty lame excuse for not getting back with an explanation. You saw his posts about the problem with his purchase during the last week, or at least you logged into the forum multiple time since then. Just click on a posters name and it tells when you last logged in. I cant imagine you logged in and didn't check your ad. I've bought several parts on this forum for more than he spent and never had a problem. I appreciate Titaniumdave posting his problems he's had with you. Glad it wasn't me.

Oh and the rusting during shipping is a stretch too.

Ya I didn’t claim it rusted in shipping. What I simply said was his reasoning as to how a seal was punctured. I thought you said you’ve been following it all? Clearly not. I’m aware you can see when people logged in. I’ve been on car forums since I’ve been 17 and nothing has changed how they operate. Should I have everyone I’ve ever dealt with on here to chime in here?

I clearly listed them with a warning. At the time they left me they did not appear that way. Not sure how I could have been anymore clear.
