Finally took some decent pictures of my BSSE. Not really washed, but I wiped her down after a brief rain and used some quick detailer.

Guys, I'm so jealous of your cars. I think my next Boxster needs to be a 550 Anniversary. I was at a cars & coffee event yesterday and there was one there. It was beautiful. The other one on my bucket list is the 2008 RS 60 Spyder.

Great pics Al I took #317 out for a drive this morning before the rain started. Should have left her out in the rain to wash off the road dust.

Wow, interesting choice for the dash. I’ve never seen the grey 550 in person, but my 2005 XKR had the ‘dark charcoal’ interior and it looked black to me also.

Just found this thread. I have number 1288 with 52500 miles. Second owner. Bought in 2011 with 11,000 miles. Mine has the cocoa interior and top. Tiptronic transmission which I wasn't crazy about but the car was in too good a shape and at the right price, Have gotten used to it and kind if like it now.

Car had headliner sag when I bought it but managed to convince local dealer to split the repair costs. Replaced a camshaft sensor a year ago. The door arm rest covers and door sill panels were beat up. Solved that by upholstering the plastic door hardware with black leather and polishing out the door sills. Added a new Pioneer 8200 sound system last year with nav, phone and backup camera.

Car is in pretty good shape except top is showing wear on the passenger side (small hole starting). Looking at some of your photos looks like a common problem. So far I haven't been able to find a matching replacement top in brown. Anybody know where I can get one?

Other issue is mild road rash on rims. Understand that the spokes are Seal Grey but don't know what a match is for the silver. Suncoast Porsche sells a wheel touch up kit. May try that if I can't find a code.

Welcome, glad you came across the thread. The original silver color for the rims is Porsche Arctic Silver (L92T/L92U/X1).

Boxster 550 SE press release from Porsche

Here's a .jpg of the official Porsche press release for the 550SE. It has recently disappeared from the Porsche web site. I couldn't make the PDF small enough to attach to the message while still readable.

My 550 SE

The second Boxster I owned was a 550 SE. Wanted to keep it forever but then had a kid. Wife said the unnecessary par payment had to go. I've recovered now. Still have some 550 SE swag left over. I'd sell the model and the brochure if someone was interested.
